The Eastern Sudanese community works in partnership with stakeholders in the United Kingdom to preserve the heritage and culture of the ancient Beja people and also an interest in the culture of other people recently living in eastern Sudan. The community works to help members and their children learn and master Beja language, history and heritage and that is to bridging the gap of intergenerational communication between the Beja people who are indigenous and one of the oldest in the Sudan who speak two of the most ancient Afro-asiatic languages which are on their way of extinction if the two languages do not find interest and documenting and creating partnership with other cultural groups.
The aim of the association is to promote and develop education for the British and Sudanese public on the cultural heritage of the Beja people and their civilization, which dates back more than 5,000 years, through organizing events, cultural lectures, workshops, demonstrations, arts and folklore, publications and social gatherings.
